I like the concept, I can't make up my mind whether to be techie or creative, and reject the idea the two are mutually exclusive, so I like the idea of a group blending the two.

Many thanks for the link, as I really enjoyed the article, which was very well written, as I do agree that most people are indeed looking for the patterns, and not so easily swayed by one random review that seems to come out of left field. I think TripAdvisor provides a really valuable service, and in fact, I just recently signed up for Yelp! as well (although I have yet to post a review there).
Saturday at Readercon always has by far the most events, including my favorite: the Kirk Poland Bad Prose competition in the evening.
